UCLA Football Recruiting: TE Thaddeus Moss Chooses NC State Over UCLA

UCLA Football TE target Thaddeus Moss has committed to NC State, but the Bruins have other options going forward.

The UCLA Football team will have to direct their efforts to another TE on the recruiting trail as Thaddeus Moss has selected North Carolina State over the Bruins and Texas A&M.

Moss, who is the son of former NFL WR Randy Moss, had trimmed his list to three earlier this week, but announced today that he will be staying in his home state to play football.

As for the Bruins, they have been focusing on a few TE prospects in their recruiting efforts as they are changing their offensive philosophy next season.

UCLA Football Head Coach Jim Mora recently promoted Kennedy Polamalu to offensive coordinator and has stated that, going forward, the offense will utilize the fullback and tight end positions more.

It is unfortunate that the Bruins lost out on Moss, but they do have a few other options. UCLA currently has a pledge from TE Jordan Wilson (Nashville, TN/MontgomeryBell Academy) who committed back in July of 2015.

On the recruiting trail, the Bruins are currently pursuing 4-star prospect Devin Asiasi (Concord, CA/Servite) who is the #1 TE in the state of California and the 67th overall player, according to Scout.com.

UCLA also has 3-star fullback Jalen Starks (Encino, CA/Crespi) committed, which fulfills the minimum requirement for the new offensive philosophy Mora and Polamalu want to install next season.
