Report: Jim Mora To Stay With UCLA Football

facebooktwitterreddit

Bruin Report Online has indicated that UCLA Football Head Coach Jim Mora will remain in Westwood amid rumors of job offers in the NFL.

So it looks like UCLA Football has the first part of their answer in regards to the possible changes in the coaching staff as it has been reported that Jim Mora is staying in Westwood and will not be heading back to the professional ranks.

Bruin Report Online, quite possibly the best source for UCLA Athletics coverage, had stated that Mora has no intention of pursuing any current pro or college job openings and will remain with the Bruins in 2016.

BRO writer Tracy Pierson had posted a video to his article Jim Mora Has No Interest To Leave UCLA, which states Mora’s intent to remain with the Bruins.

Pierson adds that if another NCAA program or NFL organization were to have interest in Mora, that the four-year Bruin coach “wouldn’t even interview”.

On top of that, Mora has apparently informed the administration that he is “dedicated and committed” to the UCLA Football program.

So as of now, the Bruins have their head coach. The next step in this process is figuring out what to do about the rest of his staff as it has been said that there could be changes with several position coaches.

Part of that transition might have some help, especially with Offensive Coordinator Noel Mazzone who is possibly a top candidate to take over the vacant OC spot at Texas A&M.

Still, this is all speculation, but at this time things are in motion for the UCLA Football program. With Mora staying, he can now focus on the team in 2016, especially with National Signing Day coming up on Wednesday, February 3.
