What’s Bruin – Episode 44 – UCLA Gets Defensive About Arizona And Will Get Husky With Washington

More from What's Bruin Podcast

In Episode 44 of the What’s Bruin Podcast, hosts Bill Shirley, Jake Merrifield and I get into The Game That Was as #18 UCLA gets defensive against the #19 Arizona Wildcats in a game where Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ulbrich‘s squad came up big. As for the offense, well, we get into why the offense is sputtering a bit. Still, it was a great defensive effort and we are truly proud of the boys in blue and gold, er, steel and gold, or whatever. Seriously though, did you like UCLA’s ‘L.A. Steel’ alternate unis? We did.

We then venture into the Bruin’s next contest in That Game That Will Be as we not only break down Washington’s offense and defense, but also tell you why there will not be the “two-way” player battle that is getting a lot of hype regarding Myles Jack and Shaq Thompson. Trust us, it will be a good game, but not because of the “running backer” battle. Both teams have good defenses which will put both offenses on high-alert. So who do you have winning?

In our Pac-12 talk, along with getting you the most up-to-date information, we also tell you how UCLA can win the South Division and make it to the Pacx-12 Championship Game. It will not be easy, but it can be done. Here is a hint: go away Arizona State!

Then we wrap things up with some UCLA Athletics news in What’s GoingDown At The Morgan Center and give you the scoop on local L.A. teams in the LA Sports Express. All of this and more on Episode 43 of the
