In episode 213 of ‘What’s Bruin Show’, we go off our heads as we discuss the UCLA Softball team winning the National Championship.

Wow. What a game! In the latest episode of the What’s Bruin Show, Bill Shirley, Jake Merrifield, Jamaal Artis and I not only recap what the UCLA Softball team did to win their 13th natty and UCLA’s 118th overall, but we have live audio of us reacting to the win.

It was an idea conceived by one of our listeners (we got your back, David Hamilton!) to record ourselves if the Bruins won the game. Well low and behold, they won and we caught our reaction which we believe is similar to what Bruin fans around the globe were experiencing.

So needless to say, we started the show by recounting how the Bruins got here. After an epic season, the Bruins were back in the Women’s College World Series. In their first game, they annihilated Oklahoma by a score of 16-3. We knew Game 2 would be even tougher and we were right.

But never doubt the two-time USA Player of the Year, Rachel Garcia, who did an excellent job of keeping the Sooners in check. Even though it was a tight game, UCLA did not let up on defense.

As for the offense, well, you can listen to our reaction in the first two minutes of the show as we were screaming our heads off when Kinsley Washington sent a ball into shallow left field, allowing Jacqui Prober to run in from second base to get the game and championship-winning run.

Epic does not describe what we saw.

Oh yeah, and if you are interested in we also talked a little bit about baseball, football and basketball. You know, if you’re into that sort of thing.
