In episode 218 of the ‘What’s Bruin Show,’ we get some inside info from Dan Cronin (brother of head coach Mick Cronin) on the UCLA Basketball team.
In this latest episode of the What’s Bruin Show, I fly solo but I’m not alone as I had fantastic guest join us this week. Dan Cronin, brother of UCLA basketball head coach Mick Cronin, was kind enough to join us to talk about the state of the Bruins.

But before all that, I get into some UCLA headlines as I discussed the UCLA football team. With the season drawing closer, we have been previewing position groups and have so far covered quarterbacks, running backs and tight ends/receivers.

I also talk about preseason award watchlists which have been released this week. Joshua Kelley has made it on to two as he has been named to both the Maxwell and Doak Walker Award list.
Unfortunately, no other Bruin has made a list which is a shame because, at the very least, Theo Howard should have been added to the Biletnikoff watch list, an award which honors the best receiver in the nation.
I then get to chatting with Cronin who was a fantastic guest that told a lot of stories both on and off the air about his family, life in Cincinnati and his brother’s move westward to UCLA.
We discussed everything from the hire to the head coach bringing a change in culture to players adapting to that culture and what that will all lead up to during the 2019-20 season.
