The UCLA football team will be without two more players this weekend as it has been announced that RB Bolu Olorunfunmi is done for the year due to a concussion and DL Marcus Moore is suspended indefinitely.
The hits keep on coming for the UCLA football team and not in the good way we saw in their 37-7 win over California this past weekend.

After it was announced on Tuesday that the Bruins will be without DE/OLB Jaelan Phillips and RB Soso Jamabo for the season due to concussions, senior running back Bolu Olorunfunmi was added to the list for the same reason.

Olorunfunmi was expected to contribute heavy minutes to the Bruins and has been listed as a starter in every one of UCLA’s game depth charts this season. Unfortunately, we have not seen a lot of him on the field. That could be due to the fact that he has been limited because of the head injury.
Olorunfunmi has participated in all six of UCLA’s games this season, so he will not be eligible to redshirt and save a season in accordance with the new NCAA rules. Unless he is granted an extra year, possibly via medical redshirt, we might have seen the last of Olorunfunmi in a UCLA uniform.
With both veterans out, the running game is completely in the hands of Joshua Kelley, Kazmeir Allen, and Martell Irby.
Though it is not due to injury, UCLA continued to thin out as Marcus Moore has been suspended indefinitely. It is unknown why the redshirt sophomore will be out but it does not help with the depth on defense. Moore has only played in four games this season and recorded only 3 tackles.
The Bruins will be able to sustain this loss, but they really cannot afford to lose any more players and thin out the depth. Still, losing four players in two days is something Kelly needs to keep an eye on.
