The recently crowned NCAA Champion UCLA Gymnastics team will be honored this Friday during the Los Angeles Dodgers’ UCLA Night at Dodger Stadium.

There is going to be a lot of blue (more than usual) at Dodger Stadium this Friday, May 11 as the Los Angeles Dodgers host UCLA Night. In addition to this special themed night, fans will be treated to a special presentation honoring the UCLA Gymnastics’ recent NCAA Championship.

Every year, the Dodgers’ organization holds a variety of themed nights just like this one. On Friday, the Dodgers will present UCLA Night against the Cincinnati Reds and Bruin fans will be in for a huge treat (for the full list of special Dodgers events, click HERE).

More from Go Joe Bruin

Before the game, the UCLA Gymnastics team will be honored for winning their 7th NCAA title and UCLA’s 115th. A few weeks ago, the Bruins did the impossible when they came from behind to take the championship away from Oklahoma behind two perfect 10’s from Peng Peng Lee. It was the perfect ending to a magical season.

Last week, the UCLA Gymnastics were able to celebrate with fans as the team was honored with a rally at Bruin Plaza where the coaches and team members were able to tell the tale of their amazing feat as well as display their latest hardware.

Also set for UCLA Night is gymnastics’ sophomore and Dodgers superfan Felicia Hano throwing out the first pitch. But that is not all.

Former track and field Bruin Drew Drysdale (daughter of one of the greatest UCLA Women’s basketball players in history, Ann Meyers Drysdale — who is married to former Dodgers great Don Drysdale) will honor America by singing the national anthem before the game. That is a whole lot of UCLA in one night.
