UCLA Football vs. Arizona State 2017: Halftime Report
The UCLA Football team is doing what they can to stay alive and becomes bowl eligible. So far they’re keeping a close at halftime against Arizona State.
It was a typical start to what looked to be a typical game for the UCLA Football team. After an opening 59-yard drive which put them at their 30, UCLA missed a field goal.

Luckily they had an impressive defensive stop and forced ASU to punt, pinning UCLA inside the 10 after two penalties.
UCLA then punted. ASU repaonded with a touchdown and they went up 7-0. Typical.

UCLA responded with Josh Rosen getting an interception on a tipped ball. Guess has happened on the next drive… ASU marches downfield for the score. ASU, 14-0.
UCLA’s offense could not move the ball to score. They had to rely on their defense for that. After Arizona State’s second score, they threw an interception which was caught by Nate Meadors who ran it for a touchdown. UCLA was back in the game down, 14-7.
That sparked a fire under the Bruins. They stopped ASU on their next drive then got their first offensive score. A 20-yard Christian Pabico reverse lead to a 20-yard Bolu Olorunfunmi run which put him down at the one. Rosen then walked it in and UCLA tied it at 14.
That didn’t stop ASU. They scored on their next drive as QB Manny Wilkins had a 26-yard run, literally leaping into the end zone. ASU, 21-14.
UCLA fought back with a 60-yard pass from Rosen to Jordan Lasley. Unfortunately, the had to settle for a field goal despite their red zone presence. UCLA was down 21-17.

After another defensive stop (which was quite impressive), UCLA went 38-yards downfield, but once again settled for a red zone field goal. ASU was up by a point, 21-20 and that’s the score heading into halftime.
