In a game where the UCLA Football team had a promising first half, the Colorado Buffaloes prove that UCLA doesn’t have what it takes to contend in the Pac-12 conference as they take the second.

Things looked good at halftime. The UCLA Football team took a 10-7 lead into the break. When they emerged from the locker room, Colorado took over and never let UCLA back in. To be specific, there were times when UCLA did not let UCLA back in.

Colorado gave UCLA every reason to win this game. The Buffaloes had a player ejected for targeting, multiple unsportsmanlike conduct calls, they made four turnovers in the first half and their quarterback Sefo Liufau even got knocked out of the game before halftime.

That didn’t seem to matter to this very determined and able Buffaloes team. They not only shut down the UCLA offense in the second half, but were able to edge past the stout Bruin defense which did a hell of a job for three quarters of the game. Unfortunately, as it has been, the defense got tired and were not able to put the clamps on Colorado late in the game.

Things were just not falling in place for the Bruins. Although that seems to be the theme for the season. Beating Colorado was in their grasp and they let it slip through their fingers every time they had the ball.

It was very frustrating, but that’s the way the season has gone.

It was bad enough that UCLA was unable to put any points on the board in the second half, but Colorado with their balanced offense and defense, also showed that their special teams can score. The Buffaloes’ icing on the cake was a 68-yard punt return that went back for a touchdown by Isaiah Oliver with 5:27 left in the game. He basically ran down field untouched.

Though UCLA had at least one more possession, by that time, they were deflated. The UCLA fan base was deflated.
