UCLA Football: Kickoff for Arizona State Game Announced
Kickoff for the UCLA Football team’s away game at Arizona State on October 8 was announced today, giving the Bruins back-to-back late games in consecutive weeks.
The UCLA Football team has been at the whim of the television stations the last few weeks and because of it, the Bruins are not getting their kickoff times until close to the actual games themselves.
Yesterday, UCLA finally received word about their kickoff time against Arizona for this coming Saturday. The kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT on ESPN.
Luckily, the Bruins received their kickoff time against Arizona State for the following week today. This game is also set for 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on ESPN or ESPN2. That is two weeks in a row that UCLA will have late game kickoffs. Thanks, ESPN.

If UCLA is looking to turn things around after starting 2-2, it seems as though the West Coast will be the only ones to see it as kickoff on the East Coast will be 10:30 p.m.
It is unfortunate to have so many night games, though it does not take away from what the Bruins have to do.
After starting out 0-1 after a conference-opening loss to Stanford, UCLA needs to put several “Ws” into their standings if they are aiming to win the South Division. They will be able to start that process in the next two weeks against the Arizona schools which have been underachieving lately. And by lately I mean the last year.
ASU and UCLA have traded victories at the other’s home stadium the last four seasons. Last year, ASU’s spastic style of play confused UCLA as the game ended with a 38-22 victory for the Sun Devils.
