The Paul Hornung Award is given to the most versatile player in the nation by the Louisville Sports Commission.
Even before Adams made the switch to receiver, Bruin fans knew he was a player that had a lot of tools in his toolbox. Not only was he a solid defensive back, had played some nickel, but he was also lethal kick returner.
Just looking at what Adams did with the a ball in his hands on returns gave the Bruin coaching staff enough confidence in him to make the switch to offense. This past spring he took his first venture with the receiving corps and looked very impressive. Though we are yet to see how he does in a game situation, Adams’ potential seems boundless.
Adams has speed, agility and can put the moves on defenders, leaving them in his dust. Having a player with all those tools exemplifies what the Horning Award represents, but it is also a good thing for UCLA’s offense.

Adams looks to add some speed to the receiving crew along with Darren Andrews, Kenneth Walker and Theo Howard. If Adams can consistently produce for the Bruins, the Hornung is not the only award that will have their eye on Adams.
