The UCLA Football team has their eyes on the #1 quarterback in the state of California, Jack Sears, who also has eyes on the Bruins.

Unlike the actual football season, recruiting for college football never stops. Though we are eight weeks from the start of the UCLA Football season, recruiting has been going round the clock, 24/7.

Though the Bruins have had a few solid commits recently, they have also missed out on a few big prospects. One in particular, QB Tate Martell, looked like he was showing the UCLA Football program some love after decommitting from Texas A&M (he pinned a picture of himself in a UCLA baseball jersey for several weeks), only to choose Ohio State.

Still, the Bruins have been doing well with other recruits. Recently, UCLA landed a commitments from 3-star DB Jeffrey Manning, Jr. and JUCO OL Ronald Rudd III.

But what about the future? Well the Bruins are already hot on the trail of several highly-touted prospects, one in particular, 4-star QB Jack Sears (San Clemente HS/San Clemente, CA) looks to be a very promising commit and one that could obviously see himself in blue and gold as Sears has the Bruins in his Top 4 choices along with USC, Duke and Utah.

Currently, Sears is at The Opening, displaying his skills for all to see. And why not? When you have one of the best arms in the west and several suitors looking at your every move, you would want to show off those skills.

And what does he have to offer? Aside from a good solid frame, a strong arm and a high ceiling, he is also very accurate and patient in the pocket. With what UCLA Offensive Coordinator

Kennedy Polamalu

is trying to do to the offense (bring in some power formations while keeping some spread elements), Sears could be the perfect fit for UCLA.

But is UCLA the perfect fit for Sears? We could find out very soon as it has been said Sears plans to make his announcement in the month of July.
