UCLA Football Recruiting: TE Thaddeus Moss Has UCLA in his Top 3

UCLA Football is in the Top 3 for 3-star tight end Thaddeus Moss out of North Carolina.

The #28 tight end in the nation (according to Scout.com), Thaddeus Moss, son of former NFL wide receiver Randy Moss, has narrowed down his college choices to three and the UCLA Football team has made the cut.

At 6’3″, 240 lbs., Moss is a big receiver that has good hands and good speed. His height allows him to take advantage of shorter DBs as well as create space with his size.

Along with the Bruins, Moss has Texas A&M and North Carolina State in his top three. Though it appears NC State may be the favorite for Moss, UCLA is in a situation that could be very attractive to him.

Currently, UCLA does not have any tight ends on the team, so there is potential for him to start right away and UCLA Football Head Coach Jim Mora has not been afraid to use true freshmen. Mora also has said that he wants to utilize more TEs and full backs in his offense going forward after promoting RB coach Kennedy Polamalu to Offensive Coordiantor.

Mora’s commitment to TEs has also been solidified as he added Rip Scherer to the coaching staff who will work primarily with that position group. So with all this in place, Moss could essentially be a key figure in the Bruin’s offense for the next few years, if he chooses to go west.

Additionally, the Bruins have one TE committed in 2016 as Jordan Wilson gave his pledge in July of 2015, but they are also looking to sway 4-star Devin Asiasi out of De La Salle High School.
