That is the case for 5-star athlete Darnay Holmes, who is still two years away from being a collegiate athlete, as he tweeted out the Top 10 remaining schools on his radar and UCLA Football made the cut.
Holmes is both an exceptional wide receiver and cornerback, but for UCLA’s purposes, DB coach Demetrrice Martin is recruiting the 5’11”, 190 lbs. athlete for his secondary. As great of an offensive player he is –good speed, hands and vision– Holmes will be an asset to the Bruin defensive backs.
Along with UCLA, the Newbury Park product has
Alabama
,
Arizona
,
Miami, Notre Dame
,
Nebraska
,
Ohio State
,
Stanford
,
USC
and
Washington
on his updated list.

Though it is well over a year until he officially signs with a school,
has Stanford as Holmes’ current leader by a big margin over Arizona. If coach Martin can turn Holmes and convince him to see the Bruin side of things, that will significantly help out the future of the UCLA secondary as currenty the Bruins have no DB commits for 2016 or 2017.
