UCLA Vs ASU: Go Joe Bruin Predicts The Game

facebooktwitterreddit

So we are going to try something new here at Go Joe Bruin. With UCLA Vs ASU coming up, we wanted to get the collective feel of the site’s writers in regards to this game. We asked each of our staff to give a prediction and a little blurb about their choice.

UCLA 35 – ASU 17

“Should Brett Hundley suit up, the game is a fairly easy win. If not, Jerry Neuheisel has shown he can carry the team. It’s going to be a physical test for the offensive line, and hopefully a game where they can take a step forward. I see Hundley playing and UCLA beating the Taylor Kelly-less Sun Devils.”

It seems a lot of people do not see ASU winning because Taylor Kelly will not play.

Michael M. Hanna (@MichaelMHanna)

UCLA 23 – ASU 31

“For me, this game comes down to the UCLA offense line and it’s inability to handle exotic blitzing schemes. I don’t trust that Noel Mazzone will adjust to a steady diet of off-tackle runs and screens to keep ASU’s defense honest before the damage has been done (likely in the form of a Hunley injury aggravation), and I think DJ Foster and  Jaelen Strong chew up yards against our soft, passive bend-but-don’t break defensive system. Unfortunately I can’t see past the Sun Devils here, but I would obviously love to be an object of ridicule and mocking come Friday morning for how I was wrong..”

UCLA 28 – ASU 10

“UCLA wins, assuming Brett Hundley plays, but Jerry Neuheisel would fill in just fine if needed.”

He has proven that so far!

Jake Merrifield (@WBjake68)

UCLA 34 – ASU 16

“I believe our boy (Ka’imi) Fairbairn is going to get two kicks in this game that he is going to make.”

Jake believes in the Fairbairn.

Mike W.R.

UCLA 35 – ASU 24

“I WANT to give two predictions, ‘if Hundley plays’ prediction and ‘if Hundley doesn’t play’. But I think I am going to combine that into one. It’ll be something like 35-24, with UCLA winning.”

So what is your prediction? Will UCLA roll over a Kelly-less Sun Devil team, or are the Bruins in trouble, especially without knowing who will start at quarterback? Please leave your comments below and we will address them accordingly.
