The UCLA Basketball team has the Freshman of the Year in Lonzo Ball as he tries to bring even more success to the Bruins this post-season.
UCLA Basketball point guard Lonzo Ball is the Freshman of the Year. He is also an All-American, All-Pac-12 First Teamer, All-Freshmen Team player and even an All-Defensive Team Honorable Mention.
With Ball at the helm of this team, it is no wonder he is seeing his name attached to so many post-season honors.
Ball has been the floor general for the Bruins this season who have made a miraculous turnaround from their 15-17 performance last year, to 28-3 this year. But it is not over. In fact, it is just starting.

Ball is the Freshman of the Year, but he is much more than that. As a player that hustles on both ends of the floor, he has led the Bruins through an epic season and one that has listed them as the #3 team in the nation, at least according to the AP Poll.

It is definitely a fantastic turnaround and has been an impressive regular season, but it is not over yet. Now it is time for the big show and these Bruins will be ready, especially Ball.
The freshman phenom has proven himself to be otherworldly, and now the rest of the country will see exactly what he can do.
UCLA is the #3 seed in the Pac-12 Tournament which really does not matter as they have a first round bye. The Bruins will be looking to have a fantastic perfomrnace in the conference tourney as they try to lower that number to a “2” or “1” seed for the NCAA Tournament. All of this serves as motivation for a player that thrives off this type of atmosphere, especially with so many pundits not giving the Bruins the credit they deserve.
This aggression will not stand for Ball.
We saw how he handled himself in the wins against Kentucky, Oregon and Arizona and that was just a sample of what Ball can do with this UCLA Basketball team. With tournament time upon us, expect Ball and his Bruins to put on an even bigger show.
