After quitting the UCLA Football team at the start of fall camp last year, receiver Cordell Broadus has once again left the team for person reasons.

With the start of UCLA Football fall camp beginning today, many noticed something about the current roster. Simply, WR Cordell Broadus, son of rapper Snoop Dogg, was not on it.

He was not accidentally omitted. For the second time, Broadus has left the UCLA Football team.

A year ago, many wondered about his absence from fall camp out in San Bernardino as it was said he was not in attendance due to personal issues. A few days after the start of camp, it was revealed that Broadus had left the team. He wanted to focus on his studies at UCLA, specifically in film.

At the beginning of this calendar year, rumblings were heard as it was rumored that Broadus was back working with UCLA Football Strength and Conditioning Coach Sal Alosi in an effort to try and get back on the team.

Head Coach Jim Mora announced that Broadus had indeed returned to the team, though he would be back as a walk-on. Broadus worked with UCLA in the spring and even had a good showing at the Spring Showcase.

Well all of that is for naught as it was confirmed today that Broadus was not on the roster because he was no longer with the team. TMZ reported that UCLA Associate Director of Communications Steve Rourke confirmed that Broadus was not on the team.

After UCLA Football’s first practice of fall camp, Mora also confirmed that Broadus had left the team for a second time.

Though he might not have seen time on the field this season, it is still an awkward situation. Because of that, Broadus most likely has terminated any chance to play college football, at least with UCLA.
