Bleacher Report recently made a Power Ranking of the Top 25 best college football stadiums and, not that it is a big surprise, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, home of the Bruins, is #1!

And why would it not be? Not only is it the “Granddaddy of them All”, but it is a gorgeous stadium in one of the most beautiful settings in the country.

Sitting in the middle of the Arroyo Seco surrounded by hills to the east and west with the San Gabriel Mountains as a backdrop in the north, the Rose Bowl is one of the most scenic places to watch a college football game. It is also one of the most relaxed and comfortable places to tailgate as it is surrounded by a golf course (fresh, green grass as far as the eye can see).

The Rose Bowl is not only the home of the UCLA Football team for their regular season games, but also hosts the Rose Bowl Game on New Year’s Day.

In addition to that, it is often used for concerts and other sporting events. This summer, the Rose Bowl has been one of the stages for the Copa America Tournament and will also host English Premier League teams Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC on July 27 in the International Champions Cup.

The Rose Bowl is such an iconic venue that, according to Bleacher Report, “If every college football player in the country were to be surveyed, there’s little doubt the Rose Bowl would be the overwhelming No. 1 choice for the stadium most would want to play in.”
