Athlon Sports released their All-Pac-12 team and UCLA Football had 15 players named. BOOM!

It is mid-June, but just like you and me, Athlon Sports cannot wait for the upcoming season. So while we trudge through these long and boring summers for football to return, we are lucky enough to be spoiled with plenty of football chatter, especially if it involves the UCLA Football team.

Athlon Sports has just released their All-Pac-12 team and the Bruins have topped the list with 15 players being named across four teams on offense, defense and special teams.

After an 8-5 season, the Bruins look to improve in all three areas of the game as the offense is getting more powerful, the defense is thickening up their line and special teams is getting some reinforcements.

More from Go Joe Bruin

One of the things that is hanging over the Bruin’s heads is the fact that they are losing a lot of experience from last season.

UCLA Football had a record eight players selected in the 2016 NFL Draft, with four others landing contracts.

Luckily, Head Coach Jim Mora has done a fine job recruiting and reloading this team which now has a lot of depth at several different positions.

This season, a lot of those players will be looked at to help the Bruins move into the future, which Athlon has recognized.

Here is the break down of UCLA Football players in Athlon Sports’ All-Pac-12 Team:

Offense

1st Team: QB Josh Rosen, LT Conor McDermott

3rd Team: Rb Soso Jamabo, WR Darren Andrews

4th Team: OG Kenny Lacy, OG Scott Quessenberry

Defense

1st Team: DT Eddie Vanderdoes,

2nd Team: S Randall Goforth, S Jaleel Wadood

From a  Bruin standpoint, that is a lot of fantastic talent. if Mora and the Bruins can harness that talent, it is possible they can get their first Pac-12 Championship since 1998.
