Despite losing to Oregon, USC still controls their fate, though it has gotten easier for both them and UCLA. With the Bruins win over Utah, UCLA has eliminated the Utes from winning the Pac-12 South whilst keeping their own conference hopes alive. That sets up a huge game for these city rivals.
UCLA has defeated USC the last three seasons, which is the exact same period that Jim Mora has been in control of UCLA.
USC had fired their head coach Steve Sarkisian earlier this season and replaced him with interim coach Clay Helton and is currently 4-2 leading the Trojans.
