USC 27 – UCLA 38
While I don’t think our defensive line will hold up against Buck Allen, I think we’ll get some pressure on Cody Kessler and make enough big plays on defense to put our offense in position to win the game for us. And with USC being a team that doesn’t blitz very much, it’s going to have to pick its poison against Brett Hundley: keep in a spy to stop him from running and potentially let receivers run open instead; or try to play a coverage game that Brett can exploit with his legs if necessary.
I see more ways that we can beat USC than ways that USC can beat us, so that’s why I’ll pick the Bruins to win yet again against the crosstown rivals and keep that bell in blue for another year!

USC 23 – UCLA 31
The Bruins will hold Buck Allen in check and will keep Kessler and Co from making big plays. The Bruin’s balanced offense will not sabotage the defense for the 3rd week in a row and the result will be a 3rd consecutive win for UCLA in the Crosstown Showdown.
USC 24 – UCLA 38
UCLA’s O-line will withstand USC’s pressure and protect Hundley so that he can tear the secondary apart!!! The Bruins maintain their dominance for another year in LA!
USC 21 – UCLA 35
Though Buck Allen will give the Bruins a run for their money, the defensive line of UCLA, in combination with a well schemed blitzing attack, will pressure Kessler enough to force a few arrant throws and put themselves in a good position to win. The offense, behind the legs of Brett Hundley, will move the ball and let the defense rest, setting UCLA up for a threepeat in the crosstown rivalry.

USC 10 – UCLA 24
UCLA has looked impressive the past few weeks with wins over Arizona and Washington. The Bruins were idle last week as they prepare to take on the Trojans. Meanwhile, Oregon State got an upset win over then #6 Arizona State to place the Bruins in control of their own destiny in the Pac-12 South.
Everything is going in UCLA’s favor right now, and it should continue Saturday.
The Bruins’ defensive line should be able to slow down Buck Allen and USC’s running game, and the Bruins secondary has the ability to slow down Cody Kessler.
On the offensive side for UCLA, Paul Perkins continues to dominate in the backfield, and Brett Hundley and the Bruin receivers have continued their significant improvement over the last few weeks (1)
Hundley and the receiving corps will be able to figure out a struggling USC secondary, and look for UCLA as a whole to take advantage of a Trojan defense that nearly blew a 31-2 late second quarter lead at home against Cal last week.
All things considered, this is a recipe for a UCLA victory.

USC 21 – UCLA 45
I do not believe that UCLA’s recent success on offense, defense and special teams is a fluke. It was there all season, just never consistently. The last two games proved that the Bruins are playing as a complete unit and I do not think they will stumble any time soon. I believe the Trojans will strike first, strike hard, no mercy, sir! But in the end it will be the Bruins that are the best around. The ones that have nothing that will ever keep them down.
And special guest prediction…
Former UCLA Linebacker, #51 Reggie Carter
(Mr. Carter’s prediction is via the ‘What’s Bruin’ Podcast, Episode 46)
UCLA of course! I’m not going to give it a blow-out game, I think there will be a lot of points scored, because, truthfully, you can never call that game. Both offenses are going to perform and the defenses are going to play!
