Skyy Clark is an important part of this Bruins team. He is a veteran leader that plays both ends of the floor very well. He is a really good 3-points shooter and can score 15 on any given night. Helping pace the Bruins offense, as they have started to get a rhythm as of late. Even with the injuries to Donovan Dent and Tyler Bilodeau. This is a team that went healthy could make a run as a mid-seed. Depending on where they land on Selection Sunday.

There have been talks that Clark will try to petition for another year of eligibility. During his freshman season at Illinois, he only played in 13 games that season. Giving him the opportunity to see if he could get one more year. If granted, that would give UCLA a good steppingstone for the 2026 season. With the recent good play of Eric Freeny off of the bench and Trent Perry’s sophomore emergence. That would be a good three to be able to build around.

Clark has NBA potential as a two-way player. Teams covet players that can shoot the basketball. Clark does just that from 3-point range and can do so on a high volume. He is also an above average defender that gives him the opportunity to play at the next level. As the NBA loves 3-and-D players and that is the way the game has changed. But one more year in college could help him elevate into a first round potential player.

Health will be a big factor if he does return. When he is on the floor, UCLA is a much better team. When he was out, even with the rise of Perry in his place. The Bruins offense could not space the floor as well. You just see how much he changes things as soon as he comes into the game and he can break down a zone with his shooting. Clark can also create his own shot when the offense stalls another year of him at UCLA would be tremendous for both sides.
