Luke Duncan will be in search of a new team for next season. After starting one game for the Bruins this past season and playing some mop up time in the Washington game. His one start was against the best defense in the nation in Ohio State. Nico Iamaleava was out with a concussion and Duncan was forced in as the starter in a hostile environment. He started the game rough but settled in quite well in the second half. His overall line for the game 16-23 for 154 yards and a touchdown, he also didn’t throw any interceptions.

Duncan also had a decent showing in the Washington game. As he came in late after Iamaleava was banged up. He threw a nice touchdown pass and finished the night 5-11 for 81 yards. There isn’t a lot of college tape for him to go upon, but he has shown that he can make big throws. A team is out there that will give him the opportunity to compete for a starting job. With Iamaleava coming back for another season, Duncan felt best looking for another school. As he knows the quarterback position would not be an open battle.
Duncan possesses great size at 6’6 and 210 pounds, allowing him to hang in the pocket and take a hit to see all the reads. With UCLA in so much turnover last year, we didn’t get to see a full playbook for him. When he was able to let the ball loose, he impressed many people. His mechanics look very smooth, and he can drive into the ball and throw it deep. He will easily impress multiple coaching staffs and will have no problem latching on somewhere in a power four.
UCLA gets its longest play of the night amid Luke Duncan's best throw of the night. Rico Flores Jr. takes it down 51 yards to the Ohio State 19-yard line.

Longest pass play of the season for UCLA
There is still a ton of growth that can happen with Duncan. He will have two years of eligibility that he can work on to give him more than just a stopgap option for a school. You can look around at different schools that will have possible quarterback openings such as Tulane, Wake Forest, Michigan State and more. Duncan will have to earn a starting spot; it will not be given to him. But the talent is there for him to make it happen.
