The UCLA football team has announced the kickoff times for four games in 2019, including all three non-conference games.

We now know what time the UCLA football team will kickoff four out of their twelve regular season games for the 2019 season. On Thursday morning, kickoff times and TV broadcasts were announced for all three of the Bruins non-conference games as well as their mid-season affair with Stanford.

UCLA will be looking to improve off of their 3-9 record from 2018 but will have to go through a rigorous schedule. What will make things even tougher is when a few of those games will start, especially their home opener at the Rose Bowl.

UCLA Football’s Recently Announced Kickoff Times

  • At Cincinnati – August 29 (Thursday), 4 p.m. PT on ESPN
  • Vs. San Diego State – September 7, 1:15 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Network
  • Vs. Oklahoma – September 14,  5 p.m. PT on FOX
  • At Stanford – October 17 (Thursday), 6 p.m. PT on ESPN

As expected, the Bruins will be playing in prime time for their first game of the season. UCLA and Cincinnati were originally scheduled to play on Saturday, August 31, but was moved up two days and many hoped it would be a nationally televised game with a favorable evening slot to accommodate fans on both coasts.

More from Go Joe Bruin

Well, it looks as if everyone got their wish as the first game in the second year of the Chip Kelly era will kickoff at 4 p.m. on the west coast on ESPN.

Things get a little heated in the second week as the Bruins are slated to take on San Diego State in their home opener at 1:15 p.m. PT at the Rose Bowl. Though this will be an exciting game as Bruin fans will once again get to return to the Arroyo Seco for another season of UCLA football, it should be a scorcher as the average high temperature in Pasadena for August is 91F. Bring a hat, sunscreen and plenty of water.

The following week will be a lot less taxing as the Bruins will have an early evening home kickoff but only in regards to the temperature. UCLA takes on Oklahoma in the second of a home-and-home series in another primetime game as things begin at 5 p.m. and will be broadcasted on FOX.

The last game that was scheduled was the Bruins’ dreaded contest against the Stanford Cardinal, a team they have not defeated in 11 consecutive tries. This is another Thursday night game and will take place up at Stanford at 6 p.m. and broadcast ESPN. Though we expect a slightly different result, the last time UCLA played up at Stanford on a Thursday night, they lost 56-35. And that was with Josh Rosen.

The remaining kickoff times will be released closer to, and in some cases, during the season.
