In the latest episode of the What’s Bruin Show, Jake Merrifield and I cover a lot of ground as we talk about the postseason for a few UCLA squads as well as give offseason updates on others.

We start things off in the Go Joe Bruin headlines where we were completely in awe of the UCLA baseball team. After sweeping Washington over the weekend, the Bruins retained the #1 spot in the nation, making it ten straight weeks atop the D1 Baseball polls. We look ahead at the Bruins final regular-season series, a possible Pac-12 championship and a (most likely) 1-seed in the College World Series.

And if you think that is amazing, just wait until you hear what we have to say about the UCLA softball team who had a pretty dominant weekend. The Bruins moved onto the Super Regional after going 3-1 on the weekend which included a no-hitter, a grand slam, and a 13-1 regional-clinching win. We discuss how the Bruins accomplished this and what happens next in the NCAA softball tournament.
Jake and I then turn to football where we talk about the Bruins bringing in two signees: RB Christian Grubb and TE Josh Harris (who has never played tight end before).
We then look at UCLA football‘s schedule at home and on the road and try to decipher if and how they can become bowl eligible. After that, we turn to the Pac-12 and try to predict how the final standings will turn out (and stick it to Oregon, I mean, how can anyone rank them so high?).
In our final segment, we talk about the UCLA basketball team after Mick Cronin talked about the state of the program. We get into his thoughts on chartered flights, recruiting, APR scores, and his update on a few injuries.
