The UCLA football team has announced information for the Spring Game which will include the Wooden Athletic Fund event, food drive, and free admission.

If you were thinking about attending the UCLA football Spring Game on Saturday, April 20 at Drake Stadium on the campus of UCLA, you now have more than enough of a reason to go as this year’s event, unlike previous years, will be free to the public (with a suggested food donation).

Currently, UCLA is on break from practice for finals and spring break. Last Saturday was the conclusion of the first part of Spring Practice and will resume on Tuesday, April 2 and go for three more weeks until it culminates on Saturday, April 20 at 11 a.m., the day of the Spring Game.

As stated above, entrance is free with a “suggested food donation” of two non-perishable items for each individual. These donations will be given to the UCLA Community Programs Office Food Closet which assists UCLA students that may be experiencing difficulties with finances.

Additionally, the Spring Game will continue their tradition of hosting the Wooden Athletic Fund Appreciation Event which will be held in the area at the south end of the track at Drake Stadium.

As in previous years, the event will have amenities available for WAF members as well as a live band and will take place before and during the Spring Game.

This is the second year the Bruins will have their Spring Game under head coach Chip Kelly. Last year, the Bruins were in a bit of disarray after the firing of Jim Mora. With Kelly already having a season under his belt, UCLA should put on a more structured and entertaining game. And hopefully, it will be more than only two quarters.
