UCLA Basketball at Colorado 2019: Gameday info and preview
The UCLA Basketball team finishes up the regular season at the mountain schools with their first stop at Colorado.
The UCLA Basketball team is on fire right now, but can they take their recent momentum on the road and finish the Pac-12 regular season on a positive note?
The Bruins have not been great away from Pauley Pavilion this season, but they have a chance to solidify a Pac-12 Tournament first-round bye with a win or two. Will that be enough motivation to get a win or will they fall back into old habits?

Last Word
The UCLA basketball team was given a bump in the standings last night when the Oregon State Beavers (who were in 3rd place in the conference standings) lost to Washington. This moved UCLA a half a game up on OSU and into a tie for third place with Utah. But with two games left to play in the regular season (both of which are on the road), UCLA still needs to win.

But that is going to be the hardest part, winning. The next two games for UCLA are against Colorado and Utah, two teams that threw their weight around against the Bruins on their home court a month ago.
On top of that, the Bruins have not been spectacular away from Pauley as they are 3-4 in conference. This all points to bad things ahead… or does it?
In the last few games, UCLA has played better basketball. Jaylen Hands has been on fire lately and several younger players have stepped up. That has helped the Bruins to a three-game win streak and being victorious in 4 of their last 5 games so they have momentum.
The problem is, can they keep that momentum? Though the Bruins should be lauded for their recent efforts, they still might be prone to falling into old habits. UCLA’s main issue this season is not being able to play with consistency, but if they can take that confidence they have developed into Boulder than they could come out with a win.
But the Bruins are taking on a Buffaloes team that also has aspirations of getting a first-round Pac-12 Tournament bye as they are only a game behind UCLA. Colorado has also had their ups and downs this season, but they have a solid core that can easily jump out to an early lead against the Bruins, just as they did in their last meeting.
This will be an interesting game and knowing what is at stake for both teams, I expect a close game that will go down to the wire. But it will be worth it.
Prediction: UCLA 88 – Colorado 87
