Here is a list of the five biggest targets on UCLA’s radar and the possibility of them signing with the Bruins.

More from Go Joe Bruin

Puka Nacua, WR ★★★★ (Orem/Orem, UT) 6’2, 190

Currently, Nacua is committed to USC but that hasn’t stopped Chip Kelly from trying to recruit him. There is video of Kelly and Nacua’s family outside LA hotspot Craig’s during the recruit’s official visit last week. If UCLA can flip him, Nacua will be the high-rated receiver the Bruins will have in their recruiting class. He’s fast, has great hands and fits perfectly in Chip Kelly system.

Daniel Heimuli, LB ★★★★ (Menlo-Atherton/Menlo Park, CA) 6’2, 225

The linebacking core is the position group most in need of bodies and if UCLA can get Heimuli, they would instantly add strength and skill. Though the Bruins are pursuing him, Heimuli has been a heavy Washington lean for quite some time, but there are always unknowns on National Signing Day.

Jordan Wilmore, RB ★★★★ (Lawndale/Lawndale, CA) 5’8, 200

Wilmore is an amazingly shifty running back that can easily find the gaps. He has speed and vision which is something Kelly looks for in his ball carriers. Currently, it seems that his decision is down to UCLA, Utah, and USC. Though the Bruins already have two running backs coming in, landing a third will only help their cause, especially with the running game looking to take a leap step forward in 2019 and beyond.

Tuasivi Nomura, LB ★★★ (Centennial/ Corona, CA) 6’1, 210

Nomura is one hell of an agile linebacker that will help bring depth to the UCLA, especially with the pass rush. Since linebackers are such a huge need for the Bruins they are going after several in with last-ditch effort’s to bring as many as they can to Westwood. Nomura is strong and very aggressive which is why he would fit perfectly with what defensive coordinator Jerry Azzinaro requires. Though UCLA is in the mix, USC is in the lead.

Kenyon Reed, DB ★★★ (Long Beach Poly/Long Beach, CA)

Among the five players on this list, Reed might be the most likely to commit to UCLA. Currently, it is down to the Bruins and Kansas State. Reed can be used in multiple situations due to his size and skill. He is coming to Westwood as a DB but has experience as a linebacker. He hits hard, is great in pursuit, and solid in coverage.
