Last Word

Though they were good wins, they were against teams that have not been doing so well in Pac-12 play.
Today’s game poses a big challenge for UCLA. Not only can they gain ground in the conference standings, but they can also prove that they are worth more than what their record says.
Still, it is going to be a tall order, especially against the only conference team that looks like they will be making the NCAA Tournament. But that can change.
It all starts in the middle as Noah Dickerson will try to dominate the paint. Because of his strength and frame, Moses Brown is going to have to play his best game to limit Dickerson. Brown has to stay in his face, not let him slice through the middle and has to hit his own high-percentage shots.
UCLA is also going to have to find a way to disrupt Jaylen Nowell, who is UW’s leading scorer. If the Bruins can give him hell for 40 minutes, they will alter the Huskies gameplan.
UCLA also has to take care of the ball. No stupid turnovers and smart shot selection. If they can play a tightly as they have the last two games, they have a chance to win.
But considering UCLA has not exactly proven themselves against better teams, this might not go the way they hoped.
Prediction: Washington 74 – UCLA 66
