On the First Team Offense, TE Caleb Wilson was listed after another amazing season for the Bruins. In 2017, Wilson only played in five games but made enough of an impact to claim the title of Best TE by Pro Football Focus. In 2018, he continued on that path as caught for 965 yards, the most among all tight ends in the nation. This was on 60 receptions, averaging 16.1 yards per catch. Three times this season he caught for over 100 yards, with the most coming in the season finale against Stanford (184 yards).

On the Second Team Defense, Adarius Pickett got the nod as one of the top defensive backs in the conference. The senior did it all for the Bruins as he was not only the top DB on the team, but he was also the team’s top tackler with 123. Pickett also added two interceptions and three pass breakups to his stats.
In addition to both of these Bruins, five others were listed as an honorable mention: P Stefan Flintoft, DB Darnay Holmes, WR Theo Howard, RB Joshua Kelley, and K JJ Molson.
Flintoft was one of the top punters in the country, averaging 45.8 yards per kick (6th in the nation). Depsite being put in tough situations all year long, Molson was perfect from within 40 yards. Overall, he nailed 14/19 total field goals
Holmes was one of the more dynamic DBs on the team as he not only handled his business in coverage, amassing 48 total tackles, but also added three interceptions, and 11 pass breakups. On top of that, he also returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
Howard continued to develop under Chip Kelly and was second on the team in receiving yards with 677 and tied for a team-high 4 touchdowns. Kelley was the surprise this season and one would consider the team MVP. Not only did he have over 1,000 yards rushing this season, but had six 100-yard rushing games.
A bold prediction for 2019, the Bruins will have up to six players in the first and second team offense and defense.
