The UCLA football team will now be able to utilize their entire roster as all of the suspensions that were issued the first week of the season have been served, but will the players see time on the field?

Before the first game of the season, UCLA football head coach Chip Kelly had announced that six players were being suspended for a few games.

DL Osa Odighizuwa, DB Mo Osling, and DL Moses Robinson-Carr had all received one-game suspensions, but have since returned to the team and the field. Last week, RB Soso Jamabo saw some time on the field against Fresno State this weekend after he served his two-game suspension.

Though we have more than a week until UCLA plays again, the Bruins will then be able to use the talents of OL Boss Tagaloa and TE Devin Asiasi, both of whom missed the entire non-conference schedule with a three-game suspensions.

Unfortunately, though the Bruins get some talent back, Tagaloa and Asiasi might not help relieve the Bruins’ woes. UCLA went 0-3 in the non-conference as they are adjusting to life under Chip Kelly.

Many believed that Kelly would be able to bring instant success to the Bruins, including yours truly, but that has not been the case. UCLA has struggled to move the ball on offense as they try to implement Kelly’s style of football.

The defense has been a bright spot, but this last weekend, they were carved up by Fresno State on the ground and through the air.

It is clear that it is going to be a process as Kelly tries to mold this team to his liking. Though many fans are upset at the 0-3 start, the first time UCLA has accomplished that feat since 1971, they have to trust what Kelly is doing and hope that this can lead to success.
