We start off with a few things fans should look for in fall camp (even if practices are closed) as are several players, both veterans, and newbies that should make an impact. We also talk about an interesting commit, RB Keegan Jones, that will join the Bruins in December as a gray shirt.
Even though we are getting ready for football season, Bruins fans received some excellent news regarding the UCLA basketball team. On Monday it was announced that 4-star PF Shareef O’Neal has finally been deemed eligible to join the team. That is in addition to PF Cody Riley and C Jalen Hill being reinstated after a season-long suspension. That is going to make for one interesting 2018-19 season.
Then we get into our interview with Ben Bolch. We start out by talking about his upcoming book,100 Things UCLA Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die. Bolch tells us a little bit about the writing process and what it took to narrow down his research to only 100 things.
The discussion then turns to his takes on the UCLA football team and what he is seeing from fall camp. What is it like with Chip Kelly in charge? Who will be the starting quarterback? How does he write about practice with only 20-minute windows? We get into all of this.
We then finish up with some listener questions as we answer some of the more pressing issues that are on their minds about football and basketball.
