Many UCLA teams look like they will continue with their recent success as they reload their rosters. Part of that success comes from the newest members of each team, who have not only moved into their new digs, but they will soon begin classes and summer workouts. Welcome to college!

More from Go Joe Bruin

One of the biggest storylines comes from the UCLA football team who made a huge move to bring in new coach Chip Kelly. Along with him comes an interesting recruiting class that is a mix of both Kelly’s and Jim Mora’s recruits. One of the biggest is dual-threat QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson who will be competing with four other signal callers for the starting spot.

The UCLA basketball team brings in a top 5 class, which is part of the reason why many pundits are projecting a Pac-12 championship for the Bruins next fall. UCLA brings in five (and hopefully six) recruits including 5-star C Moses Brown, 4-star PG Tyger Campbell, SG David Singleton III, SG Jules Bernard and 3-star C Kenny Nwuba.

UCLA Women’s basketball also welcomes a few heavy hitters such as 5-star G Ahlana Smith, 3-star F Shayley Harris and PG Kiara Jefferson. The Bruins also welcome the services of Baylor transfer and former 5-star standout, Natalie Chou.

It also looks like it is going to be an exciting time with UCLA women’s and men’s soccer as they get to break in the new Wallis Annenburg Stdium, a 3,000-seat venue that will include concessions, restrooms, locker rooms and stadium lighting.

And that is just the beginning. It looks to be a very exciting year for UCLA Athletics all-around and hope to build off of their 3 national championships from Men’s Water Polo, Gymnastics and Beach Volleyball. That all begins today. Welcome to Westwood to all of you new Bruins!
