Because of that, Kelly has been named the top guy on Rivals.com’s list of The Upcoming Season’s Most Intriguing Coaches.

According to the article’s author, Rob Cassidy, “It only stands to reason that a coach with a 46-7 overall record stepping back on the sidelines in his old conference will create intrigue.”

Indeed and that is why so many UCLA football fans cannot wait to see what the innovative football mastermind will do in the next few seasons.

After his last season in Oregon, Kelly jumped to the NFL for a few seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers. Though he did not find that much success, his return to college ball has been much anticipated. One of the reasons for this is how he will continue to evolve his style.

Since he unveiled his break-neck, speedy offense in Eugene, several program’s have tried to emulate that, which also means that football has figured out how to counter his run-based attacks, but that will not stop Kelly who is looking for different ways to once again advance his brand of football.
