There is a reason UCLA fans have a lot of optimism for their football program. Chip Kelly is one of the most innovative coaches of the last decade and his next chapter in college football has intrigue written all over it.

Now that is some good company Chip Kelly is in.

More from Go Joe Bruin

Kelly was famous for his uptempo offense that turned heads for four years at Oregon before he bounced to the NFL. Though his experiment briefly worked in the pros, teams caught up to him and fired out the method to his madness.

But do not count out Kelly just because his style did not work in the NFL. The new Bruin coach is ever evolving and has a chance to show the nation what else is up his sleeve as he leads the Bruins beginning this fall.

According to CBS in regards to his position on the list, “A 46-7 run at Oregon over a four-year span will give you that benefit of the doubt” so clearly what he did up in Eugene holds a lot of water for CBS.

Kelly knew how to navigate a college program with his offense at Oregon, and though college football has also caught up to his speed (just as the NFL did), Kelly possesses such an innovative mind that he should have the Bruins further evolve his style of football.
