On”Selection Monday” as it was dubbed, it was finally revealed where the Bruins would be seeded, where and when they will play and who they will face.
This Saturday, March 17 at 12:30 p.m. PT, #3 UCLA will take on #14 American University at Pauley Pavilion on ESPN2. The Bruins will also host the other side of that bracket as #6 Iowa and #11 Creighton will face off at Pauley.
The Bruins were expected to win the Pac-12 but fell short in the regular season and the conference tournament, but that does not mean they are down and out. In fact, the Bruins should be ready to make a big run in the Big Dance.
The last two seasons, the Bruins have made it to the Sweet 16. In both seasons they were ousted by Texas and then UCONN. The good news is that UCONN is not in their bracket, but they could get #2 Texas, who is not only in their bracket, but the bottom half of their bracket, meaning they could once again meet in the Sweet 16 in the Kansas City Regional.
