But if UCLA does not win it all, they need to have an impressive showing as many are considering them a bubble team, or at the very least, part of the “last four in”. Either way, the Bruins need to focus on getting the win, one game at a time.

Players to Watch:
The Bench: Prince Ali, Chris Smith, Alex Olesinski – The vets/starters should be ready for this, but for the next three days, UCLA is going to need their bench to step up, limit mistakes and play some sound basketball. If all three can stay out of foul trouble and be as productive as possible during their time on the court, then the Bruins should get the win.

UCLA split the season series with Stanford this year and now they meet up for a do-or-die game in the Pac-12 Tournament. Stanford definitely needs to win this game, and quite possibly another to get a nod for the NCAA Tournament, so they are coming into this game with an agenda.
They beat UCLA up in the Bay as they made a late push against a gassed Bruin squad, so getting the win against UCLA is a possibility. Reid Travis has been particularly impressive for the Cardinal and will be an inside threat. UCLA, which does not have the best defense (especially in the paint), needs to find a way to limit Travis’ touches and prevent him from doing, well, anything in the paint.
Speaking of interior, UCLA needs to get their own points in the lane. The Bruins live and die by the three and if the shots are not falling, they need a backup plan. They should attack the rim, but also having a mid-range game and post up a big guy in the paint to grab rebounds.
Aaron Holiday and Thomas Welsh should continue to be factors in this game. but having players like Gyorgy Goloman and Jaylen Hands (if he is ok to play after spraining his ankle last week) put in extra effort, the Bruins should get the win.
