The UCLA Basketball team had another rough road to victory in their game against Oregon State, after a hot start turned into survival. That cannot happen against the Oregon Ducks.

This is also Senior Day. Thomas Welsh will be the focus of the game, before and during, so it will be quite emotional. Let us hope he feels the love and turns it into another double-double.

Players to Watch:
Aaron Holiday and Thomas Welsh – It is Welsh’s last game in Pauley Pavilion and quite possibly Holiday’s. That is why I fully expect for both vets to put on a show in their Westwood finale.
Last Word:
Aside form the emotions of Senior Day, the Bruins need to cut out the inconsistent tendencies and play 40 action-packed minutes of uptempo basketball. UCLA has an outside shot to win the Pac-12. If not, they can solidfy the #2 spot in the Pac-12 Tournament.
They also need to get a few more wins to impress the tournament committee. UCLA is a bubble team at the moment and need to show that they are worth of a shot in the Big Dance. Losing to Oregon will not help that,
Oregon beat UCLA last month, but the Bruins came back from 16 points down on the road and almost pulled off the comeback. UCLA started slow, but had a monster second half in that game. Unfortunately it was too late. That cannot happen again. The Bruins need to out run, out gun and out play Oregon in every facet of this contest form the opening tip.
The defense also has to step up and limit Peyton Pritchard’s touches. Holiday and Hands need to play a tight game and limit turnovers. The big men have to stay out of foul trouble and get those high percentage shots. If they do this, the Bruins will run away with this game. But it will probably be closer than that.
