Let us first address the fact that this is a huge commitment, literally. Ezeike comes in at 6’5″, 220 lbs. and will be the fifth tight end/receiver to sign with UCLA that stands at over 6’4″. This is going to big a big group of pass catchers and Ezeike should play a big role in that, possibly as early as next season.

For his size, Ezeike is not the fastest, but he more than makes up for that with his strength, size and hands. He is able to bring in short passes and can even go down field for receptions.
His height helps catch balls over smaller defenders, which is something UCLA might not do to often, but will be very handy to have in their arsenal.
On top of that, he has amazing strength. He played on defense in high school so he knows how to give and receive the hits, which gives him the ability to get extra yards after contact. If Ezeike can develop his blocking, he could be a very dynamic player for Kelly.
UCLA now has a total of 28 commitments/signees and should get a few more before the day is through. They are currently ranking 18th in the 247Sports recruiting class rankings.
Welcome to Westwood, Michael!
