Notably, the Jaguars’ 2017 campaign concluded with a 35-14 win over Allan Hancock in the Southern California Football Association’s American Championship Bowl on November 18. The JUCO transfer chose UCLA over San Diego State, Boise State, and Pac-12 rival, Cal.

Mason is quite the athletic individual. With his height and length, he is able to cover a lot of space. He has decent speed for a player of his size, which makes him dangerous when he breaks free and goes after his target. With a year of junior college football under his belt, he should develop rather quickly when he receives tutelage from new DC Jerry Azzinaro.
Mason joins a talented crew of defensive line recruits as the Bruins have received commitments from 4-star DE Elijah Wade, 3-star DT Antonio Mafi, and two-star DT Baraka Beckett.
Heading into National Signing Day, which is next Wednesday, February 7, the Bruins currently have 20 verbal commitments and are ranked 18th on 247Sports most recent 2018 Football Recruiting Composite Team Ranking list.
