New UCLA foootball head coach Chip Kelly can check one thing off of his list… his coaching staff is complete. Now time to focus on recruiting and next season, but before that let us look at who Kelly will have on his sideline next season.

Today it was announced that Kelly finalized his staff with the hiring of Dana Bible as quarterbacks coach. Bible has worked as QB coach and an offensive coordinator in both the college and NFL ranks. His last gig was with Kelly and the San Francisco 49ers in 2016. It should be noted that Bible will only hold the position of QB coach while Kelly runs the offense.

The offense will have some consistency as Kelly purged most of Jim Mora and Jedd Fisch’s offensive staff from last season. Kelly looks to build off of Fisch’s achievements as he made the Bruins one of the most explosive offensive teams in the nation. Kelly will try to build off of that with Dougherty, Foster, Haley and McClure staying on.

More from Go Joe Bruin

McClure is moving over to the other side of the ball where he goes from D-line coach to TE coach, a position he has previously worked with. Another important reason Kelly retained McClure is because he will also serve as recruiting coordinator, bringing consistency to that part of the program.

Taking his place on the defensive line is recently hired Oghobaase who has worked at Duke, Ohio State and most recently with Kelly and the 49ers as the assistant defensive line coach.

Adding to the San Francisco reunion is Azzinaro who will see to the new defense, working in a 3-4 scheme and hopefully improve the Bruins’ struggling run defense.

The Bruins round out the defense with with Pellum coaching the linebackers, Rhoads leading the secondary and Manning who will help out with the outside linebackers. Manning also has a second responsibility with trying to re-shape special teams.

Though not part of the coaching staff, Kelly added a few key members who will help out with the different parts of the program. Former Bruin QB Neuheisel, who was a graduate assistant at Texas A&M this past season, takes on the same role with UCLA. Kelly plucked another one from the Aggies as McQueen, who was an offensive analyst in College Station, comes to Westwood as a grad assistant.

UCLA will also have two offensive analysts as Lewis and Costa will fill that role. Lewis worked with Kelly in his stops at Philadelphia and San Francisco. And finally, Golpashin comes in to give some support to Fraley as they try to get the line up to Kelly’s speed.
