The final 2018 Top247 rankings, presented by 247Sports, is out and the UCLA football team has seven commits on the list.
Even though he had a little bit of help from Jim Mora, new UCLA football head coach Chip Kelly has a solid first recruiting class taking shape.

As proof, the Bruins have seven players that have committed to UCLA make the 247Sports Final 2018 Top247, a list that is comprised of the top recruits in the country..
UCLA Football players in the final Top247
- #66 Dorian Thompson-Robinson (QB), 4*, 6’1″, 195 lbs., Bishop Gorman HS (Las Vegas, NV)
- #106 Bryan Addison (ATH), 4*, 6’5″, 180 lbs., Junipero Serra HS (Gardena, CA)

- #208 Kyle Phillips (WR), 4*,, 5’11”, 176 lbs., San Marcos HS (San Marcos, CA)
The jewel of the class is Thompson-Robinson. Though he did not give his LOI during the early signing period, he maintains that he is dead set on attending UCLA. Good thing too because he seems like a perfect candidate to execute Kelly’s offense.

What is equally impressive is how the Bruins landed three wide receivers. It is going to be quite exciting to watch Addison, Cota and Phillips on the field next year, especially with the WRs thinning out after last season.
The offensive line will get a boost from 4* Murray who committed a few weekends ago at the Army All-Star Game. His commitment helps address the depth issues on the line, though UCLA needs a few more big guys to really feel comfortable.
Speaking of depth, Calvert helps thicken up the LB crew, which is in dire need of bodies. As for Blaylock, despite a deep secondary, he has the skills to get some early playing time.

Final note, aside from DTR, Murray is the only other commit on this list that hasn’t signed his LOI and that is because he committed after the early signing period.
