While that may work against lesser teams, the Bruins need to prepare themselves for stiffer competition. Cal State Bakersfield is no Kentucky, but they have some bite to them. If UCLA wants to get a victory, they not only have to assert their dominance, but do it from the start and not rely on late-game runs to put opponents away, Here is everything you need to know about UCLa vs. Cal State Bakersfield:

Players to Watch:
Aaron Holiday – Holiday is emerging as the true leader the Bruins need. With the hits UCLA has taken, Holiday has done a fine job weathering the storm and guiding his Bruins to a 5-1 record.
Last Word
UCLA needs to start the game with a purpose. The Bruins have started slow in the majority of their games this season and against better teams, that could bite them in the behind, similar to what we saw Creighton do to the Bruins last week.
UCLA needs to be the team that takes charge and decide this game in the first half, especially with home court advantage. The Bruins have depth issues so they need to be cognizant of staying out of foul trouble, especially their big men.
Holiday and Welsh have been doing a fine job taking the lead, but now we need some of the younger players step up. This is the perfect game to do that. Will it happen? Who knows?
