2019 UCLA Basketball commit LaMelo Ball has been pulled out of Chino Hills High School and will apparently be home schooled for the next two years. What does this mean for the Bruins?

The reality show that is the Ball Family produced another surprising announcement today as future UCLA Basketball point guard, LaMelo Ball, has been pulled from his high school and will be home schooled and trained by his eccentric father, LaVar Ball.

RECRUITING RELATED: Should UCLA be worried about LaMelo’s eligibility?

According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, the elder Ball said, “I’m not dealing with the coach over there [at Chino Hills]. I’m not dealing with the administration over there. I don’t want no distractions on Melo. So therefore I’m going to home school him and make him the best basketball player ever.”

Ball had allegedly not gotten along with the new Chino Hills High School head coach, as both were apparently at odds over the style of play the team was running.

LaMelo Ball is currently committed to the 2019 UCLA recruiting class and according to LaVar Ball, he is “on track for UCLA.”

It is defeintely going to be an interesting two years before LaMelo gets to UCLA, if in fact he does make it. Recently, LaMelo released his own show with Big Baller Brand, which brought into question his eligibility.

Ball’s response, “We’ll worry about it when we get there. Who cares? If he can’t play, then he can’t play. It doesn’t mean he’ll stop working out and getting better.”

So who knows if LaMelo will actually make it to Westwood and follow in his older brothers’ footsteps, Lonzo Ball and LiAngelo Ball. There is no rhyme or reason to what LaVar will do with his sons, and at this point, doubt is growing that the youngest Ball will ever play for UCLA.

We hope that is not the case, but like with everything surrounding LaVar Ball, you can never tell what happens next.
