The Women’s and Men’s UCLA Basketball teams have begun practice in preparation for the 2017-18 season.
We are about a month until the start of the 2017-18 seasons for both UCLA Basketball teams, which means it is time to start preparing.

This past weekend, the Women’s and Men’s basketball teams began their journey into next season as both teams began fall practice. This is the first year both teams are utilizing their newest practice facilities as the Mo Ostin Center is open and ready for business.

The Women’s team began their journey yesterday as they started practice in their area of the Ostin. It was also the first time they practiced on the Ann Meyers Drysdale Court, named after the legendary UCLA Women’s Basketball player.

Head Coach Cori Close and her team return to Pauley Pavilion on Sunday, November 5 at 2pm against Vanguard in an exhibition game. Their season officially begins on Friday, November 10 against San Jose State (tipoff TBD).
The Men’s team began practice a few days earlier in their section of the facility on Friday, September 29. It was also the first official practice on Russell Westbrook Court, named after the former Bruin and current Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star.
The men’s exhibition game is on Wednesday, November 1 at 7pm against Cal State Los Angeles. Then they travel across the planet for their season opener in the ‘China Game’ as the Bruins take on Georgia Tech on Friday, November 10 at 8:30 pm PT in Shanghai, China.
The men have their first season home game the following Wednesday, November 15 at 8 pm agaisnt Central Arkansas.
