UCLA Basketball: The Women’s and Men’s teams will invade Venice Beach
The UCLA Basketball teams and Under Armour are presenting ‘Bruins at the Beach’, a free, all-day event that will showcase the Women’s and Men’s teams, new Under Armour apparel, a yoga session and a 3-on-3 tournament.
The UCLA Basketball team and Under Armour are knocking it up a notch, BAM! On Saturday October 7, the Women’s and Men’s UCLA Basketball teams and Under Armour will take over Venice Beach to promote their respective squads, the up-coming season and the Bruin community.

‘Bruins at the Beach’ is a day-long event chock-full of activities for every UCLA Basketball fan. UCLA will literally take over the world famous Venice Beach with activities that span from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The event starts with ‘Yoga on the Hardwood’ as former UCLA Basketball player Lindsey Pluimer will lead a yoga session and have a have a special appearance by former UCLA Gymnast Sam Peszek (by the way, BYO yoga mats).
At 12 noon, the ‘Battle of the Boardwalk’ begins which is a 3-on-3 tournament which will include UCLA Basketball alumni. Starting at 4 p.m., both Women’s and Men’s teams will participate in a showcase displaying both squads as well as their new Under Armour uniforms.
In addition, throughout the day, DJs will be performing, the Spirit Squad will be in attendance, there will be live street art performance as well as an Under Armour pop-up shop.
We are getting very close to the start of the 2017-18 season and what better way to get yourself acquainted with the newest Bruin squads than to take in this free event. Where else in the country can you go to the beach and enjoy your favorite college basketball team… in October? #OnlyAtUCLA

The Women’s team starts their season with an exhifbition game against Vanguard at Pauley Pavilion on Sunday, November 5. The Men’s team starts their season with an exhibition against Cal State Los Angeles on Wednesday, November 1.
