The UCLA Football team received some more good news this weekend after coming off of their 45-44 victory over Texas A&M as 4-star WR Jahan Dotson has committed to the Bruins.

If the weekend adventures of the UCLA Football team were not enough to get you excited, things got even better on the recruiting trail. On Saturday, the Bruins had the most amazing comeback in school history as they turned a 34-point deficit into a 45-44 win over Texas A&M.

On Sunday night, the good times continued to roll as the Bruins got a huge commitment from 2018 4-star wide receiver Jahan Dotson (Nazareth HS/Nazareth, PA).

A day after the UCLA Football team showed that they have revitalized their receiving game, the #14 receiver in the nation (per Scout.com) wants to take his receiving game to UCLA.

Dotson currently measures at 5’11”, 165 lbs., but plays like  he is a foot taller and 50 pounds heavier.  Dotson is a player that has excellent potential which is great because he already has the tools to be a top-tier wide receiver.

Whether he is catching a pass in the flat or is looking to gain some extra yardage on a post play, Dotson finds a way to make something happen when he has the ball.

He has great hands, good speed, excellent footwork and is just one hell of an amazing playmaker. Dotson is elusive and does not seem to know what fear means, especially when he’s going up against bigger and taller defensive backs.

The UCLA Football coaches have been doing some work on the recruiting trail with receivers as Dotson is this fourth 4-star receiver to commit to UCLA for 2018. The Bruins also have Devon Cooley, Kyle Phillips and CJ Parks slated to join Dotson next season.

The receiver position is one that UCLA has not been a very successful at recruiting in the last couple of years, so this shows a bit of a revolution when it comes to recruiting. So far things of been looking up, let’s hope they stay that way for  2019 and beyond.
