The UCLA Football team is trying to bounce back from a 4-8 record and have made a myriad of changes in trying to do so, but will the Bruins get back to their winning ways or will they continue down the abysmal path?
I will admit it, I have no idea what the UCLA Football team is going to do this season. The Bruins are coming off of Head Coach Jim Mora’s first losing season and signs point to the Bruins continuing to play substandard football, and yet, signs point to the Bruins making a complete turn around.

UCLA will only win 4 or 5 games or the Bruins could win 8-10 games. They will dominate or be dominated. The could also very well be just another middle-of-the-road team, the point is, no one knows what will happen with these Bruins.

At Pac-12 Media Day, the Bruins were picked to finish 3rd in the South Division behind USC and Utah. An improvement.
Last week, the Amway USA Today Coaches Poll came out and the Bruins were not ranked in the Top 25, but did receive one, single vote. And yet, USA Today predicts UCLA to finish second in the Pac-12 South with a 9-3 record.
And speaking of records, Go Joe Bruin conducted or own predictions. Collectively, the writers have voted UCLA to finish third in the Pac-12, but that came with a lot of variation. The GJB writers also gave our record predictions and they ranged from winning only 4 games, to a surprising 10 wins.
Will the offensive line and running game stall as they did in 2016 or will Offensive Coordinator Jedd Fisch have the know-how to get the Bruins on track? Nobody knows. We can get a few tidbits here and there from fall camp, but ultimately, Bruins fans will not know what this team is made of until Sunday, September 3 when UCLA takes on Texas A&M at the Rose Bowl.

But maybe that is a good thing. As UCLA evolves into their latest formation, that means that there is less information available for the Aggies, and subsequently every other team on the Bruins’ schedule, to scheme against. Maybe Jim Mora had this planned all along.
