The UCLA Football team has begun Spring Practice 2017 and with that the Bruins have also released their latest roster.

It is Day 1 of Spring Practice as the UCLA Football team starts the next chapter in the Jim Mora.

The Bruins look to shake off the dust of the horrendous 4-8 2016 season which ended just four short months ago. But now it is time to look forward as UCLA has a new offensive philosophy as well as Josh Rosen returning from a shoulder injury.

With Spring Practice beginning today, we also got a first look at the current roster.

Keep in mind, this is nowhere near what the full roster will look like in fall as there are several freshman that are yet to join the team.

Though there were not any major position changes, there are a few interesting takeaways from the roster.

More from Go Joe Bruin

On offense, it looks like Dymond Lee is staying put at wide receiver after being considered as a quarterback. Freshman QB Austin Burton has joined the team for spring. He will most likely be fourth in the QB depth chart behind Rosen, Devon Modster and Matt Lynch.

Soso Jamabo is back at #1 after changing his number last season to accommodate senior Ishmael Adams. TE Devin Asiasi is on the roster, though he will not play this fall due to transfer rules get coming from Michigan.

On defense, Ainuu Taua is back on the defensive line after a stint at fullback in 2016. Josh Woods is now #2 while Jaleel Wadood is #4.

Freshmen CB Darnay Holmes and DE Jaelan Phillips have their numbers, #1 and #15, respectively.

And guess who is back… Mique Juarez has made the roster and hopefully we get to see more of him this spring.
