Some shocking news came out of Westwood this morning as UCLA Football quarterback Josh Rosen will transfer from the Bruins after completing all of his undergraduate requirements and will head to Alabama.

It is indeed a shocking day for UCLA Football fans as junior-to-be Josh Rosen will transfer from the Bruins after completing his undergraduate studies in just two and a half years.

Instead of sticking with UCLA for one more season of eligibility, he will use the graduate transfer rule to play for the top program in the country, Alabama. With Rosen graduating, he will be able to start immediately in Tuscaloosa.

When asked about his decision, Rosen stated, “I’ve done what I needed to do at UCLA. I played some good football. I finished my degree in record time, now it is time to focus on getting to the NFL and getting my law degree. It IS Alabama, so I will probably be able to get my degree in six months.”

Rosen was to start spring practice on Tuesday with UCLA, but looks like he will immediately leave the school to participate in Alabama’s spring practice. Rosen is coming off of a less-than-stellar season that had him play in only six games due to a shoulder injury in 2016.

Rosen has apparently fully recovered and was looking to lead the Bruins in 2017, but it looks like he will now trade in Blue and Gold for Crimson.

When asked about the move, UCLA Football Head Coach Jim Mora had no words, “I have no words.”

Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban had also commented on the situation, “It will be great having a player like him on our squad. Many have been asking what will happen with our current starter, Jalen Hurts. I’ll tell you this, if Rosen was here last year, we would have won the National Championship by 40. You think I’m playin’?” Saban then got visibly angry for no reason and started calling out the media.

As for the Bruins, they need to scramble to figure out what to do next. Mora said, “I need to figure out what to do next.”
